Team Troll Hero

Sometimes things just don’t make sense.  Those are the best of times.

Was this guy named Fin.  Real genuine guy. Had a bum leg and was in no hurry, but had his head on right.  Just about anyone could get along with him; happy to converse. Took the lightest of touches to get a rise or chuckle.  Someone who would help you up before getting you on course. Definition of a stand up individual.

Which is why it was so unexpected when Fin got a wild hair up his ass.  To be clear; Fin never cared about my car or the mystery surrounding it.  He never sought it out. He never questioned me on it. He straight out said he didn’t care and he meant it.  Closest relation he had was an occasional chuckle at Brad’s expense.

However one day I came in and it turns out Fin had worked on my car.  About this time the music cuts and you starts flying wid the questions; ‘Sneakors let Fin work on the unicorn? How did it get into the shop wid no one noticing? What did Fin work on exactly? Can a cute Cootules get any cuter?’  And thing is Fin had answer for just about everything. Obviously my car came in on Brad’s day off. And Fin's wife was the service writer who wrote it up.  But Fin was gonna let Brad in on the secret where no one else would; it was a Viper. That Viper; the car that wants to kill people type of Viper.

You might be thinking that Fin is off his tits insane, but the story was wrapped in the tightest of packages.  Fin was an upstanding guy; a guy who had never gone wrong with Brad. The Viper ticked all the boxes required to be my car.  I definitely would have brought it in when Brad didn’t work. And if all that wasn’t enough there was Fin’s wife at the window gleefully waggling her head and thumbs upping every last thing he said.  For my part I went denial on everything. “You can’t prove I have a Viper” became my catch phrase.

Most of the time when you sees one of these stories you waits for that moment when Brad loses his shit; spazing the hell out like a cat with the crazies.  However it turns out there is an equally entertaining result from trolling Brad; breaking his mind. For about a week he was going around in a daze. You could see the thoughts circulating in his head.  Everything almost lined up, but he kept tripping over the price. The lowest functioning Viper ball parked for $25,000 and he knew the sale price of my car was around $12,000. A difference he couldn’t account for.  An entire week spent with him repeating 'Sneakors, if you got a Viper for $12,000…' before trailing off. As if just letting go of the thought halfway through considering it.
