Old Friends
Cootules it’s not often you’ve caught me in a happy mood before you’ve made merry wid your cute ways. However today was my last day at the shop. My remaining time was spent helping my coworkers as much as I could. Disassembling a grill to get to a headlight for Kevin. Loosening several oil filters no one else could budge. Solving a battery ticket that apparently baffled the service writers. After I clocked out I arranged for a get together amongst old friends.
In attendance at a local restaurant were Ansel, Logan, Cortez, Fin, and various relations; nine in total. Effectively a collection of Team Troll with time to attend. Many old stories were told and jokes were had. Car mods were talked over as various chips and hot wings were guzzled down. It was all smiles as we departed; a time of us together before we’d be on our separate ways. One of those warm moments like the save point in a game or bonfire midst a dark wood; a place that existed once and will forever more as a memory between friends.
And after all this cheer and happiness you is no doubt gleeful to hear that I has turned a new leaf. Moved passed my old ways. Gone on from my sneakorsy tendencies; so abrupt that I pulled a 360. Old habits died so hard that I never bothered dropping dem in the first place.
You sees while it was a minor thing, cuz Brad was never a focus, it did come up… whatevar happened to Brad? You might has noticed he was not mentioned amongst those at the gathering. And in truthies he didn’t get an invite; he got a gift. But in classic Sneakors fashion we has to go back.
Brad got thrown out the door the same day I put in my two weeks. All of this happened a short time before Christmas. I was super busy, but never too busy to troll Brad. So one annoyingly cold day I went on a road trip in the unicorn. Turns out Sport is not a small city runner. However when you has impossible handling and ‘enough’ power things happen. I raced all over the place taking pictures of stuffs and things. GPS was a bit spotty and finding my locations was questionable, but the VDC was generous wid the power and I got my pictures done in a day… barely.
Den on the 24th Brad came by the shop and I handed him the pics along wid a gift card. Even though he only glanced at the pictures he already knew the game. His last words to me in person; he’d figure out the car based off the pictures.
And I knows your response; ‘Sneakors, I R cute! Also, dees pictures makes no sense.’ And to a normal person you is right. Some kind of entry level photography class thingy. However to Brad, these are the last glimpses of a unicorn… if he can open his eyes to it. Thing is all the photos contains the same bits. Front and center are the red, white, and blue; directly in line wid the American flag. Den in the background of every photo is a skyline. This is cuz my car is known as the American Skyline amongst car peoples who is aware of the rebadge. Brad considers himself the cari-est car person of all time; delusions of grandeur and such. However you might consider dis leap in logic a bit much and I has responses to this starting with the poem he got.
Now look at the one named ‘Party’. If you notices amongst the candles there is a bit of metal. It turns out this is the OE wrench for the unicorn pulled straight from it’s trunk tools. Den if you looks at ‘Harvest’ you'll notice something odd among the flowers; keys. Troll Ford GT key is front and center, but just in view you can sees a button from the unicorn’s key. ‘Starry Night’ is straight up the roof of the car. If you checks out ‘Convenience’ I just got cheeky; page out of the owner’s manual. Finally you gets to ‘Honor’; you already knows where this is going. Off to the side there is in fact a unicorn in the wilds. What I am describing to you is a set of photographs which not only reveal the name, but feature a portion of the car in every single one.
And the day before writing this I saw Brad again. Happened by the shop with a flat tire. Obviously he had some time to look things over and put all the pieces together. Turns out I drive a V8 Challenger R/T; Blue. Right on point.
